Maegan Coker

Independent artist Maegan Coker hails from the Palmetto State and brings a diverse set of talents rooted in life experiences and inspiration from justice, transformation, and healing. In 2016, Maegan pivoted away from her career as an HR professional serving in operations and recruiting capacities to embark on her lifelong dream of being a successful writer, artist, producer and model. Parallel to each photoshoot is a trail of determination that led to the foundation of a budding career.

 

By 2017, Maegan had been featured in Brides & Grooms and Northeast Georgia Bridal Magazines, having modeled for Paraclete Couture, Stylistocrat Model Management, Iris Bonet Photography, Hairstylist Donna Scissorhands, and 10Thirteen Photography. Other notable projects include: Atomic Blonde Remix by Arte Volare Fotografia, Boudior by Sikira T Photography & Hannah Guthrie Photography, branding merchandise & printwork by Lost 80s Live & Violetgray Photography along with GratiAE Skin Care Products, magazine editorial photoshoots by A Thousand Words SC Photography, cosmetic & printwork by TK McCoy Photography, and wedding printwork by Piece of Life Photography.

 

2017 wasn’t only a year for photoshoots but one to open doors for new enterprises. Maegan was also provided opportunity to work alongside Jason C. Louder portraying the role of Ashley (girlfriend) in “Let Go My Ego” with Molding Heartz Production / writer Marlon Carter & director Brandon Holland; clothing model in a commercial with Blue Bistro Creative (CEO Anthony R Page) & the Label33 fashion line; voiceover role as Chelsea in Chinese Angel working with writer & directors Sha Peng & Arek Zasowski, Sumit Sharma (cinematographer) and as rich housewife in TV Pilot “Second Chance”, another Molding Heartz Production / written & directed by Brandon Holland.


Most recently, Maegan stays active co-writing and co-producing the short film / web series “CALL ME”, which includes actors from London, Paris, Africa, New York & Atlanta. Blessed by the year’s successes, Maegan’s “Call Me”along with other projects have already received recognition and awards from the following festivals: Miami Independent Film Festival; Silver Remi Winner 51st Annual Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival 2018 in Houston; Alternative Film Festival in Toronto; Pinnacle Film Awards 2018 in Los Angeles, monthly finalist in the Changing Face International Film Festival in Sydney, Australia; 300 Seconds Short Film Festival 2018 in Toronto; Royal Wolf Film Awards 2018 in Los Angeles, and now official selection in the MindField Film Festival in Albuquerque.

 

Maegan’s work continues to catch attention abroad with Mina’s Dollz Show, a London, UK program for women empowerment on Ben SKYTV Channel 175 UK, hosted by Christina & Hannah. Nine9 Magazine recently published and featured her work. In addition to working as an executive for the “Sour Milk Atlanta Auteurs Anthology & Movie Mixtape”, she anticipates announcing her own novel early next year. Great things are in store for Maegan as she continues to leave her imprint in the film world.
